We (Wes and Michael) are on a mission to help raise awareness of Same-Sex Parenting and help normalise our own modern family, as we hopefully help shine the spotlight, positively on families like ours, with either two mommies or two daddies. We’re already very proud to have already supported implementing change with the introduction of new guidance to Healthcare professionals issued by the Department of Health advising how to fairly treat Surrogates and Intended Parents (IP’s). More recently in October 2018 we were invited to the Houses of Parliament by the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) in relation to the Surrogacy Law Reform to provide the panel of MP's an account of our 'lived experience' as two dads via UK Surrogacy. We’re also huge fans of UK Surrogacy and we enjoy nothing more than telling our story and helping other IP’s understand how accessible UK Surrogacy is vs. going abroad. But there’s more to do, and now that our family grew a little in August 2019, with the birth of our son Duke, our lives became a tiny bit busier.
More exciting projects to come...
TwoDads.U.K at a glance
We’re driven to help other same-sex couples and other single gay people realise that becoming a parent shouldn’t be just a dream. Anything is possible, and we want to show you how to make these dreams come true. Importantly we’re also keen to show the world that gays have kids too, and guess what? We’re bloody fabulous at it too.
Friends of TwoDads
In 2017 Channel 4 featured our family in “Gay Dads Forever” featuring Kieron Richardson from Hollyoaks which spoke about the highs and lows of being two dads in a modern world and our experience having Talulah who was born in October 2016 using a surrogate and an egg donor.
